Fabric collection now online with John Lewis

14th May, 2012

It seems so long ago that we were drowning in swathes of fabric in Fi’s home for our fabric shoot but this week, with the bluebellgray fabric collection being launched online with John Lewis, we can finally share these shots with you!

All the fabrics co-ordinate with our new red rose and willow collection cushions.  Tell us, which is your favourite?

The bluebellgray fabric collection

25th April, 2012

As if there wasn’t enough going on in the world of bluebellgray with the recent launch of our new red rose collection, we are also very excited to announce that our highly anticipated first fabric range is now available exclusively in selected John Lewis stores.

And it just so happens that some of the fabrics co-ordinate perfectly with our red rose and willow collections – that’s not a happy accident friends – designer Fi heads up a whole team of busy bees who work tirelessly to expand the wonderful world of bluebellgray!

If you don’t have your own team of busy bees never fear!  John Lewis offer a bespoke curtain making service and also stock a selection of our co-ordinating cushions.

Bluebellgray fabrics are currently available in the following John Lewis stores:
Oxford Street & Peter Jones in London,  Bluewater Kent, Kingston upon Thames, Cheadle, Cribbs Causeway and, the bluebellgray home, Glasgow.

And coming soon to www.johnlewis.com - we’ll be back to let you know when and also show you some more pics!

Homespun Style by Selina Lake

23rd April, 2012

We were so delighted to receive the charming Homespun Style in the bluebellgray studio and not just because designer Fi’s home is featured throughout the pages, but for the beautiful images and inspirational ideas on creating personal and unique spaces in the home.

As big admirers of Selina’s styling, Fi was only to happy to open the doors to her home and give her a peek into bluebellgray living.  Fi might be the first to confess that her home is usually a bit more ‘lived in’ and post photoshoots her husband frequently finds things in strange places; plates in the sock drawer spring to mind!  Homespun Style shows the bluebellgray home at it’s best though with hints and tips to recreate the style.

Order a copy of Homespun Style by Selina Lake here.

P.S.  Fi’s cats were abnormally absent from the shots in this book – perhaps they were in the sock drawer too?

John Lewis Design Collective

9th March, 2012

Bluebellgray for John Lewis Butterfly Cushion, Teal

When John Lewis got in touch to invite bluebellgray to be a part of their Design Collective it would be an understatement to say we jumped at the chance…  more like we had a small(ish) party in the studio.  ’A showcase of the best British design talent from the UK and beyond’?  Yes please!

A couple of weeks ago Fi jetted down to London for the press launch (pictured below) along with the rest of the collective.  Sitting alongside other incredible designers like Maggie Levien and fellow Scots Timorous Beasties is a wonderful nod from John Lewis.

We’ve been overwhelmed by initial responses to the collection and it would be rude of us not to share these kind words from the buyer at John Lewis who has been a supporter of bluebellgray from the early days, ‘…the brand Bluebellgray features a distinctive floral, watercolour effect.  The colours and flowers practically burst off the cushions and fabric…  The sales response has been instant.

You can read more of what John Lewis have to say about the collective here.

We were excited to see bluebellgray cushions featured in the John Lewis Spring Summer magazine too.  Many of the cushions are exclusive to the John Lewis and are available to buy online from www.johnlewis.com and from selected stores.

Coming soon – stay tuned for exciting news of our highly anticipated fabric collection!
